Dr. Erica Montes MD

Hi there!

Women come to me with the same questions and concerns- about periods, birth control, fertility, perimenopause, and surgery and all the mixed messages online that make it hard to know what’s actually true.

Am I having a normal cycle?
Do I look normal down there?
How can I prepare for surgery?
What options do I have for menopause therapy?

My goal is to give you clear, evidence-based answers without fear, judgment, or unnecessary medical jargon- so you can feel informed, confident, and in control of the decisions you make about your body.

I’m Dr. Erica Montes, a board-certified OB-GYN, educator, and advocate for modern women’s health.

WOMEN’S HEALTH ISN’T ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL.

There’s no handbook that explains how your body will change over time.

We don’t always learn or hear about the basics growing up- periods, birth control, pregnancy, menopause. And on top of that no one prepares you for the moments when things feel confusing, when symptoms don’t fit neatly into a box, or when you’re left wondering if what you’re experiencing is actually normal.

We don’t talk enough about how frustrating it can be when cycles change, hormones shift, or your body feels unfamiliar. And we don’t always acknowledge how isolating it can feel to search for answers and find nothing but conflicting advice.

Here’s what I want you to know:

Your concerns are valid, and your questions deserve thoughtful, evidence-based answers.

Too often, women turn to social media, late-night searches, or viral trends for clarity- only to end up more overwhelmed and unsure of what to trust.

The problem?

There’s an overload of opinions online and a shortage of clear, medically accurate guidance that actually centers women.

That’s why this space exists:
To provide reliable information, clear explanations, and supportive care- so you can make confident decisions about your health, every step of the way.
